The Certificate in Management (CIM), awarded by Stansfield College,
is a pre degree foundation course specifically designed to prepare
students for entry into the University of London programmes. The
Certificate in Management provides a strong academic foundation
in business and management areas.
Students who successfully complete the Certificate
in Management will be eligible to apply for entry into the University
of London Diplomas in Economics, Social Sciences and Law. The
University of London Diplomas are equivalent to the first year
of the B.Sc or LL.B degrees. The Certificate in Management may
also be considered for foundation year entry into degree programmes
offered by Australian and UK universities.
Who Studies for the Certificate in Management
This programme is suitable for international
students as a foundation for higher achievement in undergraduate
studies. It is also recommended for students who have been out
of the classroom for a few years but would like to proceed to
undergraduate study and who need solid grounding in business/management
and communication skills.
This course is for you if you have:
- completed you Hish School education in your own country and
need a foundation course to enter an undergraduate degree course
- completed your 'A' level or Baccalaureate courses or equivalent
but have not achieved the grades you need to enter an undergraduate
degree course
- not yet decided what degree you want to take and want time
to consider your options. You can also take the modules on this
course as part of your Study Abroad programme.
Course Aims
- To develop your academic study skills for successful study
in higher education with the oportunity to enter into several
undergraduate programmes offered by UK, Australian Universities
- To raise the level of your academic subject knowledge for
entry into the humanities, social sciences or business and business-related
studies
- To raise the level of you English language proficiency skills
to an equivalent IELTS score of 6 or TOEFL score of 580 or higher
Programme Structure / Duration
This programme is conducted on full time basis and is held over
one academic year. An academic year typically consists of 3 terms
and an intensive revision term. Classes are held between 9.30am
to 5.30pm from Mondays to Fridays with 20 hours of contact time
oer week. Students will be expected to particiapte in other various
activities, including group assignment and projects. Other numerous
activities str sldo planned to make their study at Stansfield
College an experience to remember.

Class Size
Maximum of 30 students per class and 5 for study groups.
Faculty
Stansfield College is the only private institution in Singapore
to have a full-time faculty. Access to members of the faculty
is crucial as the programme is demanding and requires extensive
academic support. The lecturers are highly qualified, experienced
and hold undergraduate and/or masters degree. All lecturers are
selected for their experience and commitment to the programme
and are academicians or practitioners with industry experience. |
