Our School > School of Law Message from the Head of Department Stansfield College was established in 1993 and is part of The Stansfield Group whose group of schools provide over 60 years of academic expertise in preparing students for the University of London law programmes. Today we continue to give our students a personal educational experience as the largest private law school in Singapore. The success of the college has been largely due to the outstanding dedication of faculty and staff, all of whom are committed to getting students through the London examinations which are set and marked to the strict standards by the University of London and its six colleges which provide the academic direction including London School of Economics, Kings College and Queen Mary to name a few. This has been made possible due to our dedication to our mission focus to be the top provider of University of London degrees and diplomas. This singular focus and purpose has enabled Stansfield to provide greater options and flexibility to the students including a complete range of University of London degrees. There are however a few disciplines that are more challenging or ultimately rewarding than the study of Law. Our law students are put through a rigorous curriculum which encourages independent thinking, sensible, yet provocative participation in class. They are honed to become adaptable, analytical and capable of solving problems and they emerge from Stansfield ready for the real demands of a life in the field of law or related areas. Our law graduates pursue a wide range of careers in both the public and private sectors, in local and multinational organisations, where there is demand for people with a legal background.
