International Study Programs
Established in 1858, the international study programme of the University of London makes its degrees accessible to students not registered for a conventional course of study.

The programme has been in existence for over 70 years and now has over 32,000 registered students world-wide studying for a range of subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Most students are aged between 20 to 35, although some are a good deal older. The minimum age for entry is seventeen years.

While the internal students of the University of London follow a regular course of study in one of the colleges of the university, students on the international study programme may undertake their studies anywhere in the world and are responsible for deciding for themselves the way in which they prepare for examinations. The standard of examination and the award of the degree is the same for the external programme and the only real difference is the mode of preparation.

Special feature of the programmes
Students on the international study programme have the flexibility of choosing their mode of study. Students can therefore pursue a self-study programme or attend formal classes at a recognised business college locally. As registration is valid for eight years, the courses are not ‘time-limited’ and students have the flexibility to work at their own pace thus enabling working executives to upgrade their education at a lower opportunity cost at the same time.

Students give us many reasons why they choose to study for their degree through the University of London External Programme. Of primary importance is the world-wide reputation of the University of London degree. Flexibility and affordability are another important consideration with the UOL programmes, and students can plan to fit their studies around their family and professional commitments. For overseas students there is no need to go to London, as examinations are held world-wide at local examination centres.

Approved by the Ministry of Education, Singapore
The University of London external study programmes are the only foreign degree programmes available in Singapore registered and approved by the Ministry of Education for full classroom tuition support. This allows students to obtain the maximum benefit from a quality degree programme recognised and sought after by employers around the world.
